As divers and ocean lovers, we believe it is our responsibility to help keeping marine ecosystems clean and healthy. While it is crucial that national and local governments do their part through environmental regulations the and establishment of protected areas, it is equally important that each and every individual makes an effort as well.
To this end, we regularly organise and participate in clean-up activities both on land and underwater. Together with numerous committed resident volunteers and spontaneous helping hands, we have collected several tons of trash along the Pondicherry coastline during our beach clean-ups throughout the last years. Moreover, we constantly remove large and small ghost nets as well as other debris from our frequently visited dive sites. Over time, all of these individual efforts can have a significant impact and contribute to conservation efforts all over the world.
