A Graduate from Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education, Devanand came to pondicherry in 1971 little realising he would never trade this beautiful coastal town for any other place in the world. Growing up in the seventies and eighties in Pondicherry, the sea was an intrinsic part of life. Having taken the beach so much for granted, it came as a rude shock when in the early nineties one lost the beach to development and the sand was replaced by granite boulders. The town for all practical purposes was all but cut off from the sea.
Having pursued a career in Sustainable Design, Devanand is currently engaged in exploring Sustainable Models of Development for everything and everyone to co-exist in synergy.
